When did Faith
Tabernacle begin? |

Faith Tabernacle was
founded on September 14, 1980, with 24 charter members and 25 children and youth, under
the leadership of the Rev. Lloyd A. Wheeler. The first location for worship services was
the Children’s Hour Day Care Center at 10820 Menaul NE. All equipment and seating was
transported to the site each Sunday by faithful members with a mind to work. Wednesday
night Prayer and Bible services, choir rehearsals and other meetings were held in the home
of Pastor Wheeler. New Hope Baptist Church graciously allowed us to hold baptismal
services in their sanctuary and the binding relationship between the two church still
holds today.
